Türkiye-Malaysia Islamic Capital Markets Forum to Be Held at IHU

Ibn Haldun University will host the Türkiye and Malaysia Islamic Capital Markets Forum on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, under the theme "Advancing Türkiye-Malaysia Collaboration in Islamic Capital Markets".

The forum aims to bring together the experiences of Türkiye and Malaysia in Islamic capital markets, participation finance, sustainable finance, and adaptation finance. The program will address opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in capital markets, cross-border financing and liquidity flows, Maqasid al-Shariah-driven ethical finance, and the role of Islamic capital markets in adaptation finance.

The opening session will feature remarks by Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, Rector of Ibn Haldun University, Ali Erdurmuş, Vice Chairman of the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye, Furkan Karayaka, Vice President of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of Türkiye, Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University, and Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University.

As part of the program, Rafiuddin Shikoh, CEO & Managing Partner of DinarStandard, will present the State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) Report. Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar will deliver a country perspective session titled "Malaysia’s Leadership in Islamic Finance: Bridging Markets through Maqasid-Driven Opportunities", highlighting Malaysia’s experience in Islamic finance. Dr. Tarık Akın will present Türkiye’s participation finance landscape and explore opportunities for Türkiye-Malaysia collaboration.

The program will continue with three panel sessions. The DinarStandard Panel Session will discuss the potential of participation finance in Türkiye in light of the SGIE Report. The panel titled "Enabling Cross-Border Financing and Liquidity Flows between Malaysia and Türkiye" will examine cross-border financing, market access, and liquidity flows between the two countries. The final panel, "Leveraging Adaptation Finance through Islamic Capital Markets", will focus on adaptation finance, Maqasid-oriented ethical finance, sustainability, investor demand, and possible areas of Türkiye-Malaysia collaboration. This session will be moderated by Dr. Fatih Al from CIEF.
