The Center for Applied Research in Islamic Economics and Finance (CIEF) and the Center for Applied Research in Savings Finance (TASFIN) at Ibn Haldun University invite applications from undergraduate students for part-time positions during the 2026-2027 academic year.
The joint call covers separate part-time student positions at CIEF and TASFIN. Students may apply to CIEF, TASFIN, or both positions.
The positions are intended to provide students with practical experience in academic research, data and source collection, project development, academic events, and the preparation of institutional outputs while enabling them to contribute regularly to the activities of the centers.
POSITIONS
- CIEF Part-Time Student Position
- TASFIN Part-Time Student Position
The positions are based at IHU Başakşehir Campus.
The expected start date is October 5, 2026.
Working days and hours will be determined in consideration of the student's course schedule and the needs of the relevant center.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants are expected to meet the following qualifications:
- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Ibn Haldun University and have completed the English Preparatory Program
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50/4.00
- Have no prior disciplinary penalties
- Not have graduated or reached the stage of graduation
- Have good written and oral communication skills in Turkish and English
- Have an interest in Islamic economics, participation finance, capital markets, savings finance, social finance, impact finance, or related fields
- Be able to contribute to academic research, data collection, source review, and the preparation of research and project outputs
- Be organized, careful, systematic, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Academic or applied project experience in related fields, prior involvement in research or data work, or previous participation in research projects, academic events, student organizations, or similar activities will be considered an advantage.
CIEF POSITION
The student appointed to CIEF will be expected to contribute particularly to research, projects, and academic activities in Islamic economics, participation finance, capital markets, social finance, and related areas.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the collection of literature, data, documents, and sources for research and projects conducted by the Center
- Assisting with the organization, classification, and basic analysis of data and information
- Supporting the preparation of research reports, project files, presentations, bibliographies, and other academic outputs
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of seminars, workshops, summer schools, research fellowship programs, and other academic activities
- Supporting the preparation and updating of website content, news, announcements, activity reports, and related documentation
- Performing other research, project, and activity-related duties as needed
TASFIN POSITION
The student appointed to TASFIN will be expected to contribute particularly to research, projects, and academic activities in savings finance and related areas.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the collection of literature, data, documents, and sources for research and projects in savings finance and related areas
- Assisting with the organization, classification, and basic analysis of data and information
- Supporting the preparation of research reports, project files, presentations, bibliographies, and other academic outputs
- Contributing to the preparation and implementation of seminars, workshops, and other academic activities
- Supporting the preparation and updating of website content, news, announcements, activity reports, and related documentation
- Performing other research, project, and activity-related duties as needed
WORK ARRANGEMENT AND SUPPORT
The positions will be administered in accordance with IHU's applicable rules and procedures for part-time student employment.

- Meal services will be available in accordance with applicable University procedures

APPLICATION AND EVALUATION
Applications will be evaluated with reference to:
- The candidate's academic standing
- Interest in and motivation for the relevant fields of work
- Ability to contribute to research, data, and source-related work
- Written and oral communication skills in Turkish and English
- Ability to work in an organized and systematic manner
- Capacity for teamwork
- Overall fit with the activities and needs of the relevant center
Candidates selected following the preliminary evaluation will be invited for interviews between September 16 and 20, 2026. Final selection and employment procedures will be carried out in accordance with the relevant IHU procedures.
