Applications are open for the SC-Durham Islamic Capital Market (ICM) Summer School 2026, organized in collaboration between the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Durham University.
The SC-Durham ICM Summer School is a hybrid executive development program jointly delivered by the Securities Commission Malaysia and the Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance (DCIEF) at Durham University Business School. The Center for Applied Research in Islamic Economics and Finance at Ibn Haldun University is pleased to share this call with interested researchers and professionals, particularly in light of Ibn Haldun University’s cooperation with the Securities Commission Malaysia.
The program is designed for mid- to senior-level professionals who seek to contribute to the future of Islamic capital markets. It covers key themes such as Islamic capital markets, regulatory approaches, Shariah governance, Maqasid al-Shariah, sustainability, fintech, tokenization, artificial intelligence, product development, and strategic leadership.
The program will be delivered in a hybrid format. The online modules are tentatively scheduled for August 4-21, 2026, followed by an in-person module at Durham University Business School from August 31 to September 4, 2026.
Target participants include professionals working in banking, capital markets, investment management, financial regulation, law, fintech, digital assets, development finance, multilateral institutions, social enterprises, and policymaking. The program is particularly designed for mid- to senior-level professionals with at least eight years of relevant work experience.
