The Center for Applied Research in Islamic Economics and Finance at Ibn Haldun University held a webinar titled “The Development of Islamic Finance in Malaysia and Its Role in the Global Economy” on April 2, 2026, through the Center’s YouTube channel. The Center for Applied Research in Islamic Economics and Finance at Ibn Haldun University held a webinar titled "The Development of Islamic Finance in Malaysia and Its Role in the Global Economy" on April 2, 2026, through the Center’s YouTube channel.

The webinar featured Prof. Dr. Saim Kayadibi as the speaker and was moderated by Res. Asst. Muhammed Oğur from Ibn Haldun University.

The event focused on Malaysia’s experience as one of the leading hubs in the global Islamic finance ecosystem. Prof. Dr. Kayadibi discussed the historical development of Islamic finance in Malaysia, the country’s institutional and regulatory framework, its innovative practices, and its strategic role in the global interest-free financial economy.

Drawing on both academic and practical perspectives, the webinar offered participants a comprehensive overview of the Malaysian model and its significance for the institutionalization and internationalization of Islamic finance.
