The Center for Applied Research in Islamic Economics and Finance at Ibn Haldun University will host a special talk by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, Chairman of INCEIF University, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
The talk, titled “Building Bridges, Lighting Beacons - Lessons from Islamic Economics and Islamic Finance for the Ummah and a Fractured World”, will address the relevance of Islamic economics and Islamic finance in responding to contemporary economic, institutional, and social challenges.
Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar will reflect on how Islamic economics and Islamic finance may contribute not only through technical financial instruments, but also through broader questions of ethical purpose, institutional development, social responsibility, the ummah, and the pursuit of common benefit in a fractured global environment.
The event will take place as part of the broader Türkiye-Malaysia Islamic finance engagements hosted at Ibn Haldun University and aims to provide a platform for academic, institutional, and international dialogue in the fields of Islamic economics and finance.
